More than 300 M.S., M.A. and Ph.D students graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism on May 18, 2011. The Columbia Journalism Award, the school’s highest honor, went to Al Jazeera English for its coverage of the Middle East and the Arab Spring. Al Anstey, AJE’s managing editor, accepted the award on the network’s behalf.
