BBC News (11 Jan 2014) The former Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon has died aged 85 after spending 8 years in a coma following a stroke. He was accused of war crimes while serving as Defence Minister but was hailed by many in Israel for his strong defence of his country’s borders.
