Chinese migration to Spain continued to rise even after the the financial crisis deepened in 2008, highlighting how well the tight-knit community has been able to adapt and to weather economic storms. The Financial Times explores how these entrepreneurs, including more than 40,000 self-employed Chinese, have flourished. Many worked under tough conditions as labourers and factory workers before starting their own import-export businesses, fashion chains, or even law firms.
