WEF Global Competitiv eness Report 2014-15
STRICTLY EMBARGOED ONLINE & BROADCAST UNTIL 00.01 CET 3 SEPTEMBER. CLEARED FOR PRINT PUBLICATION WEDNESDAY MORNING LOCAL TIME
Dear friend of the Forum
Many thanks for your interest in the Global Competitiveness Report. As requested, please find an embargoed copy of the latest edition, which is published tomorrow.
This year sees considerable movement in our top ten ranking of the world’s most competitive economies. Switzerland remains in the top ranking, followed by Singapore. Third place is the United States, continuing a two-year rally that now sees it higher placed than Finland and Germany, both of which fall one place to fourth and fifth respectively. Globally, the Report finds insufficient progress across the developed and emerging worlds in the implementation of structural reform that could, if left unchecked, put the global economic recovery at risk.
