As part of this commitment, CFR Education is proud to announce the release of a new collection of expert-informed climate resources just in time for COP29, the convening of world leaders in Azerbaijan to discuss international solutions to climate change.

Learning Journey 1: Understanding the Causes of Climate Change

Climate change has many indirect effects on society as well. It puts pressure on food and water supplies, contributes to the spread of infectious diseases, undermines economic growth, and could lead to disorder and conflict in ways that would undermine many countries’ security.
Use the resources in this collection to explain how in a globalized world, harm in one region can have negative consequences in others. While everyone will face the impacts of climate change, they will not face them equally.
